Gov. Mark Parkinson: Help Kansas make most of wind    For Kansas, the most important piece of economic legislation that Congress will consider this year is whether to adopt a national renewable energy standard. An RES would require electricity producers to make or purchase a percentage of their power from renewable resources. Because Kansas is the third best state in the country for the development of wind farms, out-of-state utilities that don't have renewable options would be lining up to buy clean, Kansas wind.  More. . .
